Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about bringing exceptional veterinary care home.
What is concierge veterinary care? Concierge veterinary care brings personalized, high-quality veterinary medicine directly to your home. ExclusiVet provides dedicated one-on-one attention without the stressful car ride, crowded waiting room, or rushed appointment often associated with traditional veterinary visits.
What areas does ExclusiVet serve? ExclusiVet provides mobile veterinary care throughout select areas of Atlanta. Because our practice is designed around personalized, punctual service, availability may vary based on location. Contact us or request an appointment to confirm service to your area.
What does the Concierge House Call Fee cover? The Concierge House Call Fee reserves dedicated travel time for our veterinary team to come directly to your home. Examination fees, diagnostics, vaccines, medications, treatments, and other services are separate.
Can you see more than one pet during the same house call? Absolutely. We are happy to care for multiple pets in the same household during one visit. Each pet requiring medical evaluation will have an individual examination fee. Please include all pets you would like seen when requesting your appointment so adequate time can be reserved.
What types of pets do you see? ExclusiVet currently provides veterinary care for dogs and cats.
What services can be performed in my home? Many routine veterinary services can be provided right in your home, including comprehensive physical examinations, vaccinations, blood collection, laboratory testing (24 hour turnaround), heartworm and parasite screening (24 hour turnaround), urinalysis, ear and skin cytology, minor treatments, chronic disease management, quality-of-life consultations, and end-of-life care. Some conditions require services that cannot safely be performed in a home setting, such as advanced imaging, surgery, hospitalization, or intensive emergency care. When necessary, we will recommend an appropriate veterinary facility for continued treatment.
Do you see sick pets? Yes. ExclusiVet evaluates and treats many common illnesses and minor injuries, including ear and skin conditions, allergies, vomiting and diarrhea, coughing and sneezing, urinary concerns, eye concerns, decreased appetite, minor wounds, and lameness. If your pet's condition requires hospitalization, advanced imaging, surgery, or emergency treatment, we will recommend care at an appropriate veterinary facility.
Do you provide emergency veterinary care?  ExclusiVet is not an emergency veterinary hospital. Same-day urgent appointments may be available for appropriate non-life-threatening concerns. Pets experiencing difficulty breathing, collapse, severe trauma, uncontrolled bleeding, prolonged seizures, suspected toxin ingestion, inability to urinate, or another potentially life-threatening emergency should be taken directly to the nearest veterinary emergency hospital.
Do you offer same-day appointments?  Same-day urgent appointments may be available depending on our schedule and your location. Because availability is limited, we recommend contacting us as early as possible.
Does my pet need to have a traditional veterinary hospital too? For many pets, ExclusiVet can provide the majority of their routine wellness and outpatient medical care. However, we strongly recommend maintaining access to a full-service or emergency veterinary hospital for services that cannot be safely provided in the home, including surgery, hospitalization, advanced imaging, and emergency care.
How should I prepare for our appointment? Choose a comfortable area of your home where your pet feels relaxed and where we have adequate lighting and space to perform an examination. Cats should ideally be kept indoors and in an accessible room before our arrival. Please have any current medications, supplements, previous medical records, and questions available for review. And don't worry about making your home perfect—we're coming to care for your pet, not inspect your house.
My pet is anxious or fearful at the vet. Is mobile care a good option? Often, yes. Many pets are significantly more comfortable being examined in their own environment without the car ride, unfamiliar smells, other animals, and noises of a veterinary hospital. If your pet has a history of severe fear, anxiety, or aggression during veterinary care, please let us know when scheduling so we can develop the safest and least stressful plan possible.

Do you accept pet insurance? ExclusiVet does not bill pet insurance companies directly. Payment is due at the time services are rendered. We are happy to provide an itemized invoice that may be submitted to your pet insurance provider for reimbursement according to the terms of your individual policy.
Â
What forms of payment do you accept? Payment is due at the time services are rendered. Accepted payment methods are provided during scheduling. A payment method may be required on file to reserve an appointment.
What is your cancellation policy? Because each ExclusiVet appointment reserves dedicated travel and appointment time for your pet, we kindly request at least 24 hours' notice when canceling or rescheduling. Appointments canceled within 24 hours are subject to a $75 cancellation fee. Same-day late cancellations and missed appointments are subject to a $120 fee. Appointments canceled after our veterinary team is already en route may be charged the full Concierge House Call Fee and scheduled examination fee. Emergency exceptions may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Do you provide in-home euthanasia? Yes. ExclusiVet provides compassionate in-home end-of-life care, including quality-of-life consultations and peaceful euthanasia. Our goal is to allow your pet to remain comfortable in familiar surroundings while giving your family privacy and time together. Please visit our End-of-Life Care page for additional information about the process and aftercare options.
